Thérèse has some very exciting news. She got her pool patch today. That means that she’s is ready to go in the big pool unattended by Mom and Dad. She can also go off the diving board.
She had to swim from one side of the pool to other and back, followed by treading water for a minute. We’re extremely proud of her and she is very excited. She has yet to go off the diving board because
all those boys are playing games over there. Maybe someday if there is a girl going off the diving board, I’ll go off too.
While Thérèse is a very strong swimmer. She’s not exactly a smooth swimmer. The best description I can give it is that her swim stroke is like Charles Barkley’s golf stroke. See here:
I may have come up with this convoluted analogy because I just read this ESPN article.
Fortunately, Thérèse’s swim stroke is much more effective!
