So we’ve taken everything out of the den and moved it to the basement. The den was then re-painted and it’s hardwood floors exposed (as seen below) and will now be the girls bedroom.

Brendan will be moving into what was the girls’ room.

We’ve managed to do all the work without hiring any help (so far) which is a first. i should note that Therese’s god father, Jeremy, was kind enough to pitch in a few weekends ago and that was a big help.

I’m now working on getting the door hung. Correctly, this time. Our inital pass did not taken into consideration that the door jam wasn’t perfectly square. No worries, though. Let’s just say it’s not the only thing we’ve had to do more than once on this project.
