Happy Feast Day, Therese Marie!

01 Oct

It is hard to believe this is the 6th Feast Day that we have celebrated with our “little Queen.”  Our Therese feels very close to her patron and is very excited to spend this day thinking about and praying to the Little Flower.  We began our preparations yesterday by making this little card which we used as a table decoration.  Therese did all the work- I just gave her the materials.  On the outside of the card it reads “Nothing is small in the eyes of God” and the inside says “Do all you do with great love.”  This was St. Therese’s motto and the essence of her “Little Way” summed up in two simple phrases.  Here are the photos we took of Therese’s craft.

Tim woke up early and took Therese to Mass with him.  She was excited to go to such an early Mass and just with Daddy.  When she returned her favorite breakfast- French toast casserole- was ready and waiting.  I don’t think French toast is an authentic French food, but it works as a little tribute to this Saint from Lisieux.

I love, love, love this! What a beautiful way to celebrate our namesake (Therese is my middle name!!) I’m sure there were certainly many smiles and roses from heaven that day!
