May 31st is traditionally the Feast of the Visitation. This is the day we chose for Myriam’s Feast Day as she is named for Our Lady and St. Elizabeth. This year her feast fell on a Sunday and it happened to be Pentecost. Of course, the Visitation is pushed to the background on the birthday of the Church. We celebrated as a family with a fancy breakfast made by Mama after Mass. Then Daddy loaded all of us in the van for a pilgrimmage to the Shrine. We were able to visit with Fr. Bob, enjoy Oreos and milk (a snack from the kind Friar) in the Mary garden, and wander through the Shrine. We even had time for the pool before dinner. A full day- not without a few glitches- but still a reminder of the gift of our little Myriam.
