A (not so) big Christmas surprise

Had to share these pictures of the latest addition to the McGovern family.

Aunt Jen and Uncle Dave surprised the kids (and Lori and I) with a pet tortoise for Christmas. The yet to be named Russian tortoise has been camped out in Grandma and Grandpa’s bedroom for the past few days.

I’m trying to decide if a pet monkey or a pet alligator will cause more havoc in the Chonowski household someday.

I am so glad the first pet was a gift from the Agnew side of the family.

Nana’s vote is for the name SNAPPY for your new turtle.

Blessed Christmas and a Happy New Year to all the Agnew family.

our unwanted goldfish lasted 13 months. Good luck with the tortoise. Won’t that thing out live all of us?

The tortoise can live up to 50 years. Its the gift that keeps on giving.

How is “Puffy” doing? Make the trip ok?

Steve Yzerman was in the league and the Red Wings for 12 years before his team made the Stanley Cup finals. I was in Chicago and a Blackhawks season ticket holder during Yzermans early years and the rap on him then was very talented but lacked the heart or commitment to win a cup. It took 14 years before he won. He was 32 years old when he first won a stanley cup with his team. It was Detroit’s first in 42 years.
