Rehearsing for the Big Day
More Wedding Moments
I am going to post a few more photos from our wedding weekend in Philadelphia. We are so happy for Tom and Jess! Unfortunately, I did not take nearly as many pictures as I hoped to… I would say it was because we were all in the wedding party (thus, none taken of the actual ceremony), but I think it is because the DJ was fabulous and I didn’t sit the entire night. Too much celebrating!

The Sisters of Life
We spent our Sunday afternoon hanging out with the Sisters of Life in our friend’s backyard. It was a lovely gift and the kids loved having time to eat, talk and play with the nuns. Therese spent time chatting and picking raspberries while Brendan played soccer with the sisters and the big kids. Unfortunately I did not get any pictures of Myriam with the Sisters, but hopefully this will not be the last time we have such a blessed afternoon in the presence of such lovely women. We are so grateful for their sacrifices and witness to the beauty of religious life. If anyone is interested in finding out more about the Sisters of Life you can go to http://sistersoflife.org/.
Homeschool Phys Ed
Physical Education is a “subject” required by Montgomery County Schools and we have to prove that we are teaching our children to be healthy individuals so that they grow up to be healthy and happy citizens. Here are a few pictures of “phys ed” in the McGovern school. The kids love riding (and running) up and down the sidewalk with their wheels. The girls are getting creative and create all kinds of places they are visiting during the ride. First we went to the zoo, then we were traveling to Egypt to look at the pyramids. Next thing I knew we were in the jungles in Asia and spotting various forms of monkeys in the trees. I never knew so many adventures could be had on quiet, unassuming Mason Street.
The Perfect Dance Partner
…is often your sibling. Therese and Brendan danced to music outside the Kennedy Center on Saturday. We took the kids to an open house where we saw several different performers and enjoyed walking around the Center. The kids really liked the big open spaces and all the great views of Washington, DC, from the upper terrace. Daddy and I enjoyed the cultural break from Mason Street and observing our children take in the diverse talent on display.
